ACRRM President attends Gladstone Health Forum

Last week, Dr Ewen McPhee attended The Gladstone Health Forum to meet with Minister for Regional Services, Decentralisation and Local Government, Mark Coulton MP to discuss the challenges many rural and regional centres face in delivering modern health services.  Minister Coulton also accompanied Dr McPhee to Emerald where he toured the local Medical Clinic

Education and networking at AIDA

Our General Manager Quality and Safety, Sean Mutchmor and Training Officer Denise, represented the College at the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association’s (AIDA) annual conference in Darwin last week to talk to delegates about a career in Rural Generalism. Sean also facilitated a workshop on Urgent and Pre-Hospital Emergency Care, designed to give clinicians of all levels an opportunity to convert their in-depth didactic database of medicine into practical opportunities to develop and demonstrate skill and knowledge application in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Promoting ACRRM RG training at AMMA

ACRRM attended the Australasian Military Medicine Association (AMMA) conference in Adelaide last week to share information on the ACRRM training program. The team also took the opportunity to meet with registrar committee member and Army Medical Officer Dr Bob Worswick and the Director General Operational Health, Dr Craig Schramm from the Australin Defence Force, and key stakeholders who have an interest in military medicine
