ACRRM accredits educational activities to provide ACRRM CPD Home participants with access to a broad range of quality Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
The College's standards for CPD require educational activities to be high quality and relevant to Rural Generalism. CPD activities are assessed against the ACRRM CPD Framework and curriculum before they are accredited for CPD hours, and promoted to members and participants. Please note, ACRRM accredits activities rather than providers.
No fees are charged for accreditation, attendance reporting or ongoing provider support services and the process is simple. Accrediting your activity with ACRRM provides:
Inclusion in the Activity Search directory
Access to the CPD accreditation logos to promote your activity
Access to our online portal to add activities and report attendees
Participants are assured that all content has been reviewed against the CPD framework and curriculum and their attendance is reported directly to ACRRM by education providers.
Submit your details to receive access to the ACRRM online portal. You can then log in and add your activity. It will generally be assessed within 10 business days and we will email confirmation when this has been done.
Log in to ‘My Events’ and submit information about the activities you wish to accredit, we will assess your application and reach out for further information or to confirm your accreditation.
Before submitting an activity please ensure you have reviewed the accreditation guide and criteria and that you have entered the following:
If your activity contains an optional component, such as an optional audit or self-reflection, please submit this as separate CPD activity.
If you are contacted for further information regarding your application, you will be required to submit this within 7 days.
Once ACRRM has advised your activity is accredited please log into My Events to view how your activity will appear on the website and check what CPD hours you received accreditation for.
You will also now be able to access ACRRM accreditation logos which you can use to advertise the activity that has been accredited. Please note The College accredits activities rather than providers therefore please only use this logo for the activity that has been accredited.
Report ACRRM attendees by uploading your attendance sheet within one week of your activity (or quarterly for ongoing activities) through your My events page using the ACRRM template supplied.
Please provide attendees with a record of their participation.
The following criteria are used to assess activities for accreditation:
ACRRM Fellows are required to complete Advanced Life Support (ALS) training in each triennium as part of their compliance for CPD. To comply, an Advanced Life Support activity congruent with the Australian Resuscitation Council ALS guidelines must be completed.
Please note - ALS courses must be a minimum of six hours long, include pre and post reflective activities, have a robust assessment process and provide members with the following skills and knowledge:
For the purposes of accreditation, that means that all participants are required to demonstrate competency in the skill stations provided, are advised of the outcome (satisfactory or otherwise), and are given guidance on how to remedy any deficits. Generally this involves a marking matrix where participant performance can be graded in a consistent way.
You will be provided with a CPD accreditation logo which can be used when you promote the accredited activity. The logo must only be used for the accredited activity, is not transferable to other activities, and must not be used to promote associated events that are held in conjunction with the accredited activity.
The College also offers a range of ways to promote your educational activity.
All accredited activities will feature in the Activity Search on our website at no cost
