CPD Home Essentials FAQs

ACRRM CPD Home Essentials is a simple and easy to navigate tracking and reporting tool for Medical Professionals. All activity is self-managed and entered by the user and reported to Ahpra by ACRRM.
ACRRM CPD Home Essentials is available to Medical and Health Professionals to use as their CPD Home. Recent ACRRM Members (current or from the last 2 years) are not eligible to subscribe to CPD Home Essentials.
When you purchase CPD Home Essentials you will have access to your CPD portfolio for 12 months, you will then be able to renew your access each year through your MyCollege account.

Yes ACRRM CPD Home Essentials enables you to track Ahpra Program-level requirements. The Medical Board of Australia has updated the CPD Registration Standard requiring all medical practitioners to now engage in CPD activities specific to:

  • culturally safe practice
  • addressing health inequities
  • professionalism
  • ethical practice.

Each year you must complete one activity in your CPD that addresses each of these requirements, ensuring that they are relevant to your scope of practice. These are not additional, but need to be included as part of your required 50 hours of CPD.

Program-level requirements can be selected when submitting your CPD activities through your ACRRM CPD Home. Further information about these requirements can be found in the ACRRM CPD Handbook.

ACRRM CPD Home Essentials allows you to track Ahpra’s Specialist high-level reporting requirements.

Ahpra requires all medical practitioners registered as a specialist to complete high-level requirements in their annual CPD program, regardless of the nominated CPD Home.

When completing the application form for CPD Home Essentials you will be required to nominate if you require High level reporting. If you nominate yes, then the CPD uploaded to the MyCollege portal will be tracked against the current criteria.

You can find all the higher-level requirements for your specialty/scope(s) of practice on the Ahpra website here

Significant changes to the ACRRM CPD Program will be advised to CPD Home Essentials and CPD Home participants a minimum of 6 months in advance of implementation. Participants will be notified of these changes through the CPD Home Platform, CPD Newsletter and also by email correspondence. CPD Home Members may also receive change notifications via Connect@ACRRM.

Yes! Details of MOPS are available on the ACRRM website and can be found in the CPD Handbook/Guide (available in your CPD Portfolio in My College).

MOPS activities will contribute to CPD hours in the year they have been completed.

To see accredited ACRRM courses eligible for MOPS click here and refine the search by your MOPS category.
