At ACRRM our goal is to support you throughout your training journey and help you successfully progress towards Fellowship. To strengthen this support, ACRRM is replacing the Doctors in Training Review Process with a Support and Progression Process that focuses on early intervention, support, clear communication,
and fair decision-making.
What does this mean for you?
The process is designed to:
How does the process work?
Routine Progression Monitoring
Throughout training, your ACRRM training team will continue to work with you to monitor progress against Fellowship requirements. This includes your engagement with educational activities, training placements, assessments and other program requirements, as well as your overall progression through the training program.
When additional support is needed
If concerns arise that may impact your progression, your support team will work with you to understand your circumstances and identify strategies to help you remain on track.
In some cases, the matter may be reviewed by the Regional Advisory Committee -Support and Progression (RACSP).
What is RACSP?
RACSP is a regional committee that reviews progression concerns and considers what additional support may assist you. Importantly, RACSP considers individual circumstances and is intended to support registrars in achieving successful progression wherever possible.
What is the Registrar Review Panel (RRP)?
Most concerns can be addressed through routine support or RACSP intervention.
However, where concerns are ongoing, particularly complex, or may have significant progression implications, the matter may be referred to the national Registrar Review Panel (RRP). Significant progression decisions are ultimately made by the Censor(s)-in-Chief.
Will I have an opportunity to provide information?
Yes. Where your progression is being considered by Registrar Review Panel (RRP), you will be given the opportunity to provide information about your circumstances. Your perspective is an important part of the review process.
The principles behind the process
The process is guided by:
