Natalie is a proud Gooreng Gooreng, South Sea, Australian woman with strong family ties to Butchulla country in Queensland. She is passionate about building the rural, remote and First Nations medical workforce because she believes that better health outcomes and addressing health inequities start with communities having the doctors they need, close to home. She brings more than 28 years' experience across the health, education, community, and government sectors, and has spent most of the last 15 years working with and for mob.
Much of her work has focused on coordinating education and training pathways and supporting people through to completion. Natalie holds a Bachelor of Science (Applied Psychology) and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Her work is built on anti-racism, culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice, and on creating safe spaces where people can thrive.
She is excited to be sharing her lived and professional experience in the NT TNC role and building strong connections with registrars, supervisors, training posts, and ACRRM stakeholders across the Territory.
