About Dr Kelly Banz

Dr Kelly is a Rural Generalist who completed her training with ACRRM in Central Australia and continues to live and work in Mbantua/Alice Springs.  

She has a special interest in health care in resource poor settings, having worked in both Iraq and remote Australian Aboriginal communities, and completed advanced training in Remote Medicine. 

She also is passionate about research that involves Primary Care, with a Masters by Research in Physiology, and continuing connection to research projects with Menzies. 

She promotes the special role of Rural Generalists across the Australian healthcare system and medical education space. She continues to work as a co-Director of Clinical Training at Alice Springs Hospital and as the hospital's GP Liaison Medical Adviser.  

She also believes in lifelong learning, even in one's hobbies...She can be found in the archives of no less than three trivia shows.
