Born in Kalgoorlie and bred in Bunbury, Carol started her passionate career within the health care sector with a position as a receptionist in her local General Practice.

In 2005, Carol entered a 16-year career with education and training for undergraduate medicine with the Rural Clinical School of WA (RCSWA) based in Bunbury, after holding several positions at the “new” co-located Bunbury Regional Hospital, a local Ophthalmology practice, and the Division of General Practice (with a twelve-month secondment to ACRRM to promote the College in WA). Carol played a hand in setting up several other regional training sites in the South-West with the RCSWA.

In 2017, Carol implemented the Regional Training Hub program as Manager covering the state, as a part of the RCSWA’s look at post graduate training opportunities in regional, rural, and remote locations.

In 2022, Carol was appointed to assist, implement, and manage the Rural Psychiatry Training Program within WA Country Health. When the program was accredited, she was approached by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine to assist with College Led Training with a portfolio of developing partnerships within the state. After a month, Carol was formally recruited to the Training Network Coordinator position overseeing the WA-based training program in mid October 2023.

Carol is based in Bunbury, married with two adult children, and blessed with two grandchildren. Enjoys fishing (always the first to reel in a fish), camping, and spending time with family.
