Dr Alice Callaghan grew up and went to medical school in Perth before moving to the Great Southern after graduation to continue her training. She worked in Albany and Perth before venturing a little further out to Mount Barker where she is completing her rural generalist training, with an AST in Palliative Care. When Alice is not at work. she loves exploring some of the amazing hikes in the region and spending time at home with her partner, dogs, and veggie garden!
Alice's role is to represent WA registrars within ACRRM. This means supporting registrars with questions about training, difficult situations and helping navigate the training pathway, as well as being a registrar voice within ACRRM, to help make the training program the best it can be.
Alice can support you alongside your Training Program Advisor and Medical Educator. She also attends the GPRA national council meeting, which is a great forum to raise issues affecting GP trainees nationally, as well as working within the ACRRM WA training team, and national ACRRM RLOs to help make our journeys through training as smooth as possible.
