About Bec Brayley

Location: Charleville, South West Queensland, Australia

Bec Brayley is a long-term resident of Charleville in South West Queensland, where she has lived and worked for more than 18 years. Her career in agriculture has been closely connected to rural and remote communities, giving her a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges of living in remote places, often a long way from major services. As a mother and active community member, Bec also has a personal understanding of the realities of accessing healthcare in rural and remote Australia.

Through volunteering and leadership roles in community and sporting organisations, Bec is passionate about building strong, healthy communities and ensuring local people have a genuine voice in decisions that affect them. She is particularly passionate about advocating for equitable healthcare access for rural and remote families and ensuring healthcare planning recognises the realities of distance, workforce shortages and limited local services. Bec is pleased to bring her lived experience as a rural and remote resident, working professional, mother and community member to the ACRRM Community Reference Group.
