Dr Thomas Drake-Brockman (they/them) is an ACRRM Registrar based in rural WA. Alongside their clinical work, Thomas draws upon a strong background in computer science and software engineering to advise WA Health on digital transformation projects and contributes to AI-focused research at the University of Western Australia. Their medical journey has taken them from UK air ambulance missions to rural placements and years of service aboard Australia’s largest sail-training tall ship, where they manage health issues in resource-limited maritime settings. Thomas’ blend of clinical expertise, digital health capability, and commitment to innovation positions them as a valuable contributor to the evolving landscape of virtual care and rural health delivery.
