About Dr Sarah Chalmers

Dr Sarah Chalmers worked in East Arnhem Land for 15 years, before moving to North Queensland in 2019. She has worked in private general practice, hospitals and remote Aboriginal communities and homelands in the Northern Territory and now works as a Rural Generalist in North Queensland, and as a Senior Lecturer with James Cook University. She has always been interested in medical education, previously a Senior Lecturer with Flinders University for the NT Medical program, and has been a supervisor to GP and RG Registrars as well as medical students and junior doctors for many years. Her clinical interests include remote practice, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, occupational  medicine and sports medicine (Rugby Union).
