To qualify for the RPGP, your practice must be in MMM3-7.  If you are a locum doctor providing service in a MMM3-7 location please indicate your principle clinical practice location above (evidence of your locum placements is required as per the documentation section). To qualify for Emergency Mental Health grant funding, you must also be registered for the Emergency Medicine component of the RPGP and be responsible for providing care in respect of emergency mental health services/crisis intervention in patients presenting with acute mental health issues.

Part D

I understand that the Department of Health, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) may:

  • access information regarding the training I have undertaken as part of this Program;
  • provide reports regarding the training I attend; and
  • provide information (which may include identifying information) relating to this application to the Department of Health for statistical, evaluation, research and/or policy development purposes.

I understand that it may be necessary for these organisations to discuss the above issues with one another.

Documentation Required:
Recognition as a current unsupervised provider of procedural services and/ or emergency services as defined in the guidelines is demonstrated by the attached documentation

Unsupervised Clinical Privileging Document

  • Evidence of current unsupervised practice/clinical privileging/certification of scope of practice from your Area Health Service or hospital credentialing committee.

On Call / Regular Roster Document

  • Evidence of participation in an on-call or regular roster for the service indicated in your application

VR GP or GP Registrar Status

  • Evidence of your status as a VR GP or GP Registrar

 

Additional documentation required if you are a GP Registrar:

Evidence of Advanced Specialised Training 

  • Evidence of having completed your Advanced Specialised Training in the component that you are applying for. E.g. JCCA or DRANZCOG qualification.

Additional documentation required if applying for Emergency Mental Health:

Emergency Mental Health Letter or Statutory Declaration

  • Letter from your employer confirming that you are responsible for providing care in respect of emergency mental health services or crisis intervention in patients presenting with acute mental health issues in my current role, or
  • You have completed and attached a statutory declaration confirming that you are responsible for providing care in respect of emergency mental health services or crisis intervention in patients presenting with acute mental health issues in my current role 

Additional documentation required if you are a locum:

Evidence of Locum Dates 

  • Unsupervised clinical privileges confirming that you are a current provider of procedural services and/ or emergency services in from at least one hospital/ local health service in a MM3-7 location.
  • Evidence of locum dates for the current financial year (planned or completed).  E.g. a letter from your locum agency confirming your locum dates.
