Dr Claire Arundell has been elected as ACRRM’s incoming President.
Dr Arundell will officially begin her two-year term following ACRRM’s Annual General Meeting on Friday 23 October 2026 in Tarndanya (Adelaide).
Our outgoing President, Dr Rod Martin, will remain on the ACRRM Board as Immediate Past President, sharing his knowledge and experience with Dr Arundell and the College and helping ensure a smooth handover.

Dr Marita Cowie was appointed Company Secretary of the College in 1998. She is also the foundation Chief Executive Officer of the College. Marita has more than 20 years experience in medical education, training and company administration. She is the longest serving CEO of any Australian specialist college. She was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (General Division) for significant service to community health in rural and remote medicine areas in 2020, and awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Medicine in 2018.
