Base remuneration package value between
$346,202 - $444,887 p.a., (L13-L25); Permanent full-time; annual leave loading
(17.5%); Range of special leave types; Relocation assistance (conditions apply);
Rent free accommodation; Various allowances available; Applications will remain

Duties/Abilities
The Director of Medical Services must
advocate for and understand the health care needs of the community and deliver a
patient focused health care service that meets these needs, whilst respecting
the directions set by the Department of Health and the priorities of the Central
West Hospital and Health Service.
The Director of Medical Services
will:

Be
responsible for autonomous decision making based on medical, policy and
regulatory frameworks.
·
Work
collaboratively with leadership groups and healthcare team
members.
·
Partner with
medical Executive members to operationalise clinical and corporate
governance.
·
Work
collectedly to apply the principles of clinical
governance.
They will work collaboratively with the
Management teams of the Longreach Hospital and Winton Multi-purpose Health
Service (MPHS), They will assist the Executive Leadership the Central West
Hospital and Health Service to identify, develop and promote strategies in line
with the Service’s Strategic Plan.
Operationally and professionally manage
the medical services within the Central and Western Hubs of the Central West
Hospital and Health Service by ensuring that medical services are high
performing and contribute to a learning health service that actively pursues
opportunities for efficiencies and improvements.
