#RMA16 featured keynote speaker

In addition to Aussie explorers Cas and Jonesy and journalist Melissa Sweet, who have recently been announced as keynote speakers at this year's Rural Medicine Australia Conference, we would also like to introduce you Deborah Simmons as one of the keynote speakers.

After working as a Consultant Anaesthetist in a large tertiary hospital for many years, Deborah Simmons completely changed her career path and became a Rural Generalist. Deborah works at Proserpine Hospital as a Senior Medical Officer.

Apart from working in a job that Deborah finds challenging and rewarding, Deborah has a great work life balance. She has hiked the Inca Trail in Peru, trekked to Everest base camp and climbed Kala Patthar in the Himalayas, made it to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mount Fuji in Japan as well as many other hikes around the world. If you ever visit the Whitsundays, you're likely to see Deborah walking her 2 dogs, and her eclectus parrot or having brunch with her zoo at a coffee shop on the marina.

Register now to hear Deborah and other inspiring speakers at #RMA16 and save with early birth prices.
