Logbooks

Primary Curriculum Procedural Skills logbook

You must complete this logbook unless you have been exempted from this requirement through Recognition or Prior Learning. As the title suggests, the skills are drawn from the skills identified in the Primary Curriculum.

The logbook is broken up into Curriculum Statements, to match the College's Primary Curriculum. Under each of these statements is a list of procedures.

You must log your procedures via the electronic logbook accessible from your My College Dashboard.

For each procedure, you can see the level of certification required. You can record the name of the facility at which you preformed the procedure, the name of the certifier, the date performed, and the level performed to. Many procedures will be covered during the emergency medicine courses and other simulated courses.

If you would like a hard copy of the logbook for your reference you may download it here or contact us for a printed version.

Completion of REST and other emergency courses will assist you to complete logbook requirements. View a list of procedures covered in REST, ALS and REOT.

AST Procedural Skills logbooks

If you are taking Advanced Specialised Training in Emergency Medicine and Surgery you will also be required to log procedures. Download the Emergency Medicine or Surgery logbook, or contact us if you require a hard copy of the Emergency Medicine logbook.

Your Core Clinical Training (CCT) logbook

You would use the CCT logbook to log cases during PRRT if you were not able to undertake a term in anaesthetics, O&G or paediatrics during CCT (see Fellowship Training Handbook).

A minimum of 50 cases must be logged. Download the CCT logbook.
