StAMPS provides you with your main summative assessment for AST Emergency Medicine, Adult Internal Medicine, Mental Health, Paediatrics and Surgery.
The exam tests if you can ‘show how’ you would manage complex situations in a mature and professional manner. The aim of assessment is to establish your professional independence and ensure it is safe for you to be practising unsupervised within your community.
Whereas projects are the main summative assessments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Academic Practice, Population Health and Remote Medicine.
Criteria for a project are specific to AST and may include a practical resource or a research project.
