AST Project - Academic Practice

An AST Project Enrolment Form must accompany this enrolment. You will be prompted to attach the completed AST Project Enrolment Form during the enrolment process.

Enrolment Eligibility

You must meet the following criteria to enrol in any ACRRM AST assessment:

  1. be enrolled as an ACRRM candidate in the ACRRM Independent Pathway (IP), the Vocational Preparation Pathway (VPP) or the Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS), IMG Specialist Pathway, or Advanced Specialised Training (independent of Fellowship training)
  2. have a current medical registration; and
  3. be a current financial member of ACRRM

Enrolment Eligibility if AST Outside of Training

  1. To enrol in the AST outside of training program, medical practitioners must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:
  2. Hold general or specialist registration with AHPRA, and
  3. Have completed at least two years of postgraduate hospital experience in Australia or comparable country.
  4. Have obtained or hold a position in a post accredited or accreditable for the relevant AST (please refer to the Standards for Teaching Posts page)
  5. Have completed or enrolled in compulsory courses as applicable to the AST (please refer to the AST curriculum page )
  6. Have written a project proposal if undertaking Population Health, Remote Medicine, Academic Practice or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
