Core Skills Training
Overview
This course offers you a unique approach to training in mental health disorders. Participate in our real-time virtual classroom from the comfort of your home or practice. It takes just one hour a week over six consecutive weeks. It emphasises interactive participation and reflective learning, supplemented by discussions, demonstrations and reading. The Core Skills (MHST) course is designed for GPs with minimal mental health skills training.
The content was developed collaboratively by general practitioners, mental health nurses, carers, consumers, psychiatrists and psychologists, all interested in the interface between mental health care and primary medical care.

System Requirments:
In order to complete this course you will need the following equipment:
• A Mac or Windows based computer with a recent version of Java installed
• A stable internet connection (preferably broadband)
• A plug-in headset with microphone

Fees:
- ACRRM Member: $440 (inc GST)
- Non-ACRRM Member: $484 (inc GST)
Important! Course fees must be paid at the time of registration in order to secure a place.
Accreditation/Medicare items:
After successfully completing the Core Skills Training you will have access to Medicare item numbers 2715 and 2717.
This course has been accredited for 20 PRPD points and MHST MOPS with the College's Professional Development Program (PDP).
