In his letter to GPs and other immunisation providers, the Chief Medical Officer, Prof. Jim Bishop beings: "Children under 5 years of age can now be vaccinated against influenza using Vaxigrip® or Influvac® seasonal influenza vaccine..."

2010 Seasonal Influenza Vaccine

The Commonwealth Chief Medical Officer advises that the categories of people eligible for free seasonal influenza vaccine under the National Immunisation Program now include everyone 65 years and over, all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 15 years and over, all pregnant women, and all those six months of age and over with medical conditions listed in the Fact Sheet.
