Interview Content

The interview panel will consist of three people (Senior Fellows or two Fellows and a Community Representative). Each interview will take approximately 90 minutes and will include question-and-answer sections and discussions based on scenarios. The interview will assess your capacity in each of the following areas, as appropriate to your proposed position:

  • medical interviewing skills
  • physical examination skills
  • clinical judgment
  • treatment/advice
  • communication skills
  • professionalism
  • procedural skills, and
  • familiarity with relevant social and cultural issues and Australian language idioms.

The PESCI is a fitness for task assessment; where the panel will be assessing your skills, knowledge and experience for the position for which you are seeking registration and is only valid for the role indicated in the application provided (including the position description).

A change in position or supervision level may result in a further PESCI reqired - please check in the first instance with your local AHPRA who will confirm if this is required or not.
