REMINDER – Send in your evidence for Professional Development Points

Reminder to all members to send in evidence of activities attended during 2008 for processing. Unofficial statements for 2008 will be sent in early February 2009. Your evidence needs to be received no later than the 10/01/2009. If you self entered into your learning planner please ensure coinciding evidence has been as well to allow maximum points allocation. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact one of our friendly PDP team on freecall 1800 223 226.


ACRRM Wins Tender for John Flynn Placement Program (JFPP)

The JFPP is one of several prevocational programs administered by ACRRM and funded by the Department of Health and Ageing. The programs are an integral part of the Federal Government's long-term strategy to attract more rural doctors and improve the quality of health care in rural areas.

The JFPP offers a growing number of 2 – 3 week  placements in a rural practice setting to medical students, were working closely with a rural doctor mentor and the host community, students develop a better understanding of the challenges and rewards associated with rural medical practice and non-metropolitan health care services.
