The following guide can be used to determine your eligibility to be assessed for partial or substantial comparability
Codified List of Recognised Qualifications
To be considered for ACRRM’s pathway, you MUST first make an application through the Australian medical Council (AMC), via their website here.
All documents that you submit to the AMC must also be sent to ACRRM.
Q What are the fees associated with this pathway? [more]
A
ACRRM’s fee structure has been designed to be simple and clearly linked to the individual components of the Specialist Pathway process.
Q If I don’t hold one of the accepted qualifications, can I still apply? [more]
A
Unfortunately, ACRRM does not accept any other qualifications other than those listed on the codified list for Specialist Pathway. However, any doctor holding limited, general or specialist registration (and have worked in Australia for 12 months or more) may be eligible for ACRRM’s Independent Pathway, which is one of our vocational training pathways. Full details can be found on the Vocational Training page or you can contact the team directly on training

Q What is the difference between substantially comparable and partially comparable outcomes? [more]
A
Substantially comparable doctors are required to complete 12 months of peer review and a multi source feedback and MAY BE required to undertake further assessment as determined by the Chair and Medical Educator. This is all discussed during the learning plan discussion.
Partially comparable doctors are required to complete up to 24 months of peer review and multiple assessments which may include a multi source feedback, mini-CEX, MCQ and StAMPS. Full details about what these assessments are can be found in the Assessment handbook, on the Assessment page.
