Description:

These trial sit-down luncheons are open to FINAL YEAR STUDENTS AND MEDICAL GRADUATES.  They will  feature representatives from specialist colleges who are invited to give a 20 minute presentation on their training pathways and respond to any questions from the students.  This round we will trial a ‘speed dating’ scenario with presenters sitting at a table of no more than 10 participants - present information on training program for 10 mins - open discussion for 10 minutes - and then move on to next table of 10.

Individual college representatives will cover all tables.

Description:

The ACRRM presented and accredited one-day Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses were developed to meet the needs of general practitioners in the management of common emergencies in rural practice. The course incoporates key aspects of Advanced Life Support skills in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.  This course is presented with FACRRMs in mind, offering them an opportunity to meet their ALS requirement for PDP compliance for the triennium.

ACRRM's online cultural awareness module is accredited training for the Practice Incentive Payments (Indigenous Health Incentives).  You need to complete training within 12 months of joining the PIP (IHI).

The 15-hour module provides opportunities to understand medical practice from an indigenous perspective and to work towards improving your indigenous patients' confidence and wellbeing.  The module must be complete by a GP in a practice and one other person working in that practice.
