Rural Emergency Skills Training (REST) - overview

"After the course, I feel more confident to deal with critical cases till transfer to tertiary hospital"

- REST participant

We understand what it means to practise in a rural and remote setting. You’ll have a lot on your plate, from being the first on the scene at a trauma to looking after a child with a serious illness.

That’s why we offer you a two-day Rural Emergency Skills Training (REST) course, with a program that will equip you with a structured approach, understanding and practical experience of handling many of the most common rural practice skills and emergency scenarios. Your course will be conducted by trained emergency medicine instructors experienced and knowledgeable in rural general practice.

What it costs

Check the table below for course fees. Fees must be paid at the time of registration in order to secure a place. Find out if you are eligible for a grant to help fund your attendance.
