The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) manages the Bonded Medical Places (BMP) and Medical Rural Bonded Scholarship (MRBS) support schemes for medical students and junior doctors on behalf of the Department of Health and Ageing.  

Medical students and junior doctors who are bonded to work in a District of Workforce Shortage or rural and remote location are eligible for support through the Bonded Support Program (BSP).

The events are for junior doctors and medical students at that stage of their career keen to find out more about specialist training pathways. Participants can discuss and access information about their future training options under their Bonded obligations.

The BSP welcomes interest from specialist colleges and their trainees to come along, enjoy lunch and to make a presentation on the college. The presentation will discuss the application process, training pathways, and opportunities within the specialty for working in rural areas (RA2 – RA5).  future training options and their commitments as an MRBS or BMP holder.
