The CAI Process

The CAI will begin with a review of the documentation you provide. The panel will then proceed to assess your level of skills, knowledge, and experience to determine your suitability for the position for which you currently hold registration. The CAI will be based on rating criteria for each of the following:

  • clinical competence in medical knowledge
  • clinical skills
  • ethics and professional attitudes for safe and effective clinical practice
  • communication skills, and
  • cultural awareness.

Following the CAI the Chair of the interview panel will provide a report to AHPRA Queensland.
