ACRRM Research Committee

The ACRRM Research Committee supports and guides the research interests of the College and its membership. The Research Committee contains a diverse group of 12 researchers, each with considerable experience in rural and remote general practice. The Committee members work collaboratively to foster innovative research that will expand the evidence-based knowledge of contemporary rural medicine.

Dr Abbas Haghshenas

I am in my final year as an ACRRM registrar currently working in Qld country area. I graduated from Iran with an MD followed by a PhD in health management from the University of New South Wales in Sydney. I have been practising in rural remote Australia since 2009. I am interested in teaching and research in the area of research methodology, health management, models of care delivery, health evaluation and e-health. I have been lecturing in universities both in Iran and Australia.
